How do I hang a knitted name sign?

You've chosen the perfect design for your custom knitted name sign and it's arrived in the post...now where to put it?!

You've got a few options depending on the name, shape or animal sign you ordered. Check out my video for inspiration and all your options listed below.

1. On the wall with an optional knitted chain hanger.

Super easy to hang, all you need is one tiny nail or one stick on 3M hook.

Above pictures are knitted name signs with the knitted hanger. Ari is in 'denim' and Jude is in 'nutmeg'.

2. On the wall

If your feeling handy, pop a few tiny nails in the wall or stick on 3M hooks. The stick on hooks you can get from a supermarket like Woolworths or coles and tiny nail are available at Bunnings.

Or, if you already have hooks on the wall or a shelf with hooks then your all set!

Above Christmas set was hung with tiny nails

3. Standing

You could also stand your word or shape on a cabinet, table, shelf etc and lean against the wall or other object. That is, if the word does not have a letter than descends below the baseline (e.g. g, j, p).

Mia is in 'peach sprinkle' with a contrasting purple pom pom and Luke is in 'sky blue' with a matching coffee cup shape.

4. Flat lay

These knitted words and shapes are great for marking milestones in your flat lay photos or videos. We have some options in the "Milestone" collection for some inspiration or select your own by ordering custom words.

However you decide to display your customised knitted name sign please do not use any sticky materials such as tape, blue tac etc as it may cause damage.

Hot Tip: Either way, it is best to ask someone to hold the word or shape on the wall so you can mark the hanging points and ensure your beautiful word or shape is level. Trust me its worth it, I made that mistake at first!

Safety Tip: Please keep out of reach of your little ones. These are not toys and although they are durable they are not indestructible.
